Recently we bumped into a scenario where notifications shown inside the Action Center were missing. We did not know why that happened but it was because of the recent update that we got from Microsoft. Basically, we had notification counts visible on the taskbar and the related apps had updates on them. But when we clicked on the notifications counts we couldn’t find a single notification in the Action Center. Why is this happening we had no idea but after doing our research and a few toggles on the settings we could get them back again.
There is no official fix for this problem as such but we have come across one trick that can re-enable them back for your system. Further, we shall guide you how to get those notifications back on your Windows 10 Action Center. The trick is a bit extended one but that’s an only fix as of now. Make sure you follow the steps properly.
Step 1. Press Windows Key + I. This will take you inside the Windows Settings Panel.
Step 2. Select “System” and head towards “Notifications & actions” and toggle options “ON” as shown below if not done already. Make sure to toggle button on and off for all the individual apps as well.
Step 3. Now go back to the main page of Windows Settings and Click on “Privacy“. Inside Privacy go to “Background Apps” and toggle On and Off as shown in the picture below. Make sure to toggle button on and off for all the individual apps as well.
Once you are done with all the above steps, reboot the pc and you shall see the notifications back again on your Windows 10 Action Center. Restarting the computer is a must so don’t forget to do that.
This trick worked in our favor and we got all the notifications back in the Action Center. If this worked for you as well, please do let us know through comments and share the same with your friends and family.
