At the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) event at Las Vegas, Asus has formally made an announcement for its next flagship smartphone named as Zenfone AR. Interestingly, the Zenfone AR is the world's first smartphone with 8 GB of RAM onboard the device.

Another highlight of the Zenfone includes the device's support for Google's Daydream feature. Regarding specifications of the device, the device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at 2.35 GHz that's coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. As mentioned earlier the device is packed with 8 GB RAM but comes in another variant that has 6 GB RAM. Both, the 8 GB and 6 GB variant of Zenfone AR comes with 32, 64, 128, & 256 GB internal memory variants.

The smartphone sports a 5.7" Quad HD (2560x1440 pixels) display with corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection that could help save the phone's display from shattering in case of any accident.

Coming to the imaging capabilities of the device, it features three rear cameras which is named as "TriCam System" by Asus. First one is a 23MP camera with the other two being used for motion tracking and depth tracking respectively. In the front, the phone has an 8 MP snapper.

Coming to the connectivity options of Zenfone AR, being the next flagship phone from the brand, it features all the connectivity features as seen in any other high-end device including Wi-Fi, WiFi Direct, Hotspot, 4G VoLTE, etc. The Zenfone AR is packed with a 3300 mAh Li-ion that should be good enough to keep the device powered for an entire day's usage with moderate to heavy usage.
