Starting today blogger introduced a new feature that will connect your blog comments directly to the respective Google + profiles.
This new feature will help people share their comments made on your blog directly to their Google Plus profile which indirectly help you to reach more and more people.
This new feature will for sure help you to reach more and more prospective readers and that not all, mentions of your posts on Google+ automatically show up right in your blog's comments, so you can see more of people’s public conversations about your content (and private conversations you're part of).
Basically when any of your posts shared on Google Plus will get comments and replies in a threaded format, the same will appear on your blogger blog which in turn will help you to engage with more and more readers simultaneously.
You comment on any blog will automatically get shared due to the default Google Plus sharing option enabled. Google+ posts that link to blog posts will show up as a comment underneath those blog posts.
Comment shared on Google Plus, will also be shown on the respective blog post with replies if any and vice versa. Sharing if not done with the author, author will not find the update on either of the places.
As the author of a post, you'll receive Google+ notifications when readers comment on or share your blog post.
Since the new feature is not enabled by default, you have to manually enable the same to access Google Plus Comments on your blog.
1) Sign in to Blogger
2) Click on the “Google+” tab in your blog’s Dashboard
3)Upgrade to Google+ if you haven't already done so
4) Enable Google+ Comments. Comments already made on your posts will keep working in the new widget
Once you are done doing the above steps, your blogger blog's comment form will look like the one below.
What are your views on the new feature introduced on blogger by Google. Do you like the idea or not. Will it help us to get more and more readers. Still have to wait and watch.
